Sonic the Hedgehog features three playable characters, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, each with their own unique characteristics, such as the ability to fly, climb and glide, which players can select according to their preferences.

Once the characters have been selected, the game begins with Sonic the Hedgehog, which has similar graphics and gameplay to Super Mario, in which players control Sonic to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. Each level has different levels of obstacles and traps, as well as moving enemies, so you have to control Sonic to avoid the obstacles and collect the gold rings scattered throughout the level. Press and hold the forward button to accelerate Sonic, and there are also a number of auxiliary mechanisms in the course which will help you to speed up.

Collect the rings as fast as you can and get to the end of the level to defeat the boss.At the end of each level, a final score will be awarded based on the number of gold rings collected and the speed at which the player has passed the level.
