The goal of the game is to beat all competitors and first use the items obtained by opening boxes to increase the player's competitive advantage.

Each time a player completes a race, they earn superstars and rubies, the latter being the game's premium currency. Rubies are used to purchase pipes which randomly launch drivers, karts or gliders, all of which have their own rarity. Each driver, kart and glider has a preferred route, and they offer many benefits if used on a specific track.
